Agripreneurship Education for Sustainable Development in East Africa (AESDEA) is a four-year project funded by the Germany Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project is implemented by the University of Dar es Salaam through the Center for Banking and Financial Services Research (CBFSR) of the University of Dar es Salaam Business School in collaboration with the Center for Enterpreneurship of Technische Universität Berlin (CfE-TUB).

The AESDEA project aims to increase students’ entrepreneurial skills in the field of agritech and to build up an East African Agripreneurship Network for knowledge exchange and mutual support.

The project includes highly innovative and practice-oriented activities in teaching, teacher qualification, startup activities and research. The active involvement of various non-university actors exposes students to innovative entrepreneurial ideas and to the existing support system in Tanzania thus inspiring and motivating them to become entrepreneurs themselves.
